Chester Monthly Meeting (NJ) was established in 1803 by Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting out of Evesham Monthly Meeting. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Orthodox meeting changed its name to "Moorestown Monthly Meeting" in 1943.
